St Catherines Oratory (The Pepper
Pot)
St Catherines Oratory is the only
surviving medieval lighthouse in Britain. It is the
rocket shaped structure, locally known as the Pepper
Pot. This location offers the finest views, accross
the whole Island, and the mainland and English Channel
towards Cherbourg, some 60 miles away.
